As the guests sip Champagne and waltz, romantically, about the palatial ballroom, the celebrations are brought to a dramatic halt, when the evening’s host, Professor Charles Hasker, dramatically, falls down dead. It transpires that Professor Hasker’s drink has been poisoned by one of the guests at his party. As such, a murder investigation swiftly follows, to discover who is responsible for Professor Hasker’s untimely demise.
